06/25/26

First Southwest Bank is proud to celebrate the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program, awarding two $2,500 scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence and community involvement.

This year's recipients are Ryan Cordova of Sanford High School and Amelie Cover of Mancos High School, two outstanding students whose hard work and ambition embody the spirit of our rural Colorado communities.

Ryan Cordova, a recent graduate of Sanford High School, will attend Colorado School of Mines, where he plans to study Quantum Systems Engineering.

Amelie Cover, a recent graduate of Mancos High School, will attend Colorado Mesa University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She hopes to go on to become a nurse practitioner.

At First Southwest Bank, we believe that investing in students like Ryan and Amelie is an investment in the future of our communities. Our scholarship program is one of the many ways we put our mission as a CDFI bank into action, supporting the people and places that make rural Colorado strong.

Congratulations, Ryan and Amelie!
