Nick Capra promoted to Ag and Commercial Lender, VP

Mr. Capra joined First Southwest Bank in November 2014 as a Credit Analyst and has advanced through the organization over the past decade. He was promoted to Credit Analyst II in April 2023 and Credit Analyst III in May 2025. Through his credit expertise, commitment to customer service, and dedication to supporting the bank's lending team, he has demonstrated the knowledge and leadership necessary for this next step in his career. A graduate of Adams State University, Mr. Capra has called the San Luis Valley home for the past 20 years, giving him a deep understanding of the region’s agricultural economy, businesses and communities. 

 

In his new role, Mr. Capra will work directly with agricultural and commercial customers to provide financing solutions that help businesses grow, create jobs, and strengthen rural communities throughout the region. For many customers, he is already a familiar face. His transition into lending allows First Southwest Bank to further strengthen existing relationships while ensuring customers continue to receive the personalized service and local expertise they have come to expect.

Mr. Capra's key responsibilities will include:

• Building relationships with agricultural and commercial customers throughout the region.

• Identifying lending solutions that meet the unique needs of local businesses and producers.

• Managing and growing a portfolio of agricultural and commercial loans.

• Supporting customers through every stage of the lending process.

• Advancing FSWB's mission of creating economic opportunity in rural Colorado.

Mr. Capra commented on his new role, stating, "I look forward to working more closely with our agricultural and commercial customers and helping businesses throughout our communities access the capital they need to grow and succeed."
